Summary / Purpose of Position:  

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in support of the Human Resources functions of Miracle Hill Ministries. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Miracle Hill Ministry training and development, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Recruitment/On-boarding

  • Manages all job postings on internal MHM web site and sends to SCANPO, church partners, etc.
  • Shepherds all new hires through the onboarding process (background check, completion of all new hire paperwork)
  • Facilitates weekly New Hire Orientation in partnership with Human Resources Generalist II to ensure timely and smooth on-boarding of new employees.
  • Facilitates ministry tour associated with New Hire Orientation with the support of Human Resources Generalist II.
  • Provides HRIS system support to the ministry in regards to recruiting and timekeeping.
  • Advises staff members on benefit matters, contacts and processes.

       Training and Development

  • Assists the HR Team in the coordination of the annual All Staff Meeting.
  • Participates in ministry wide programs and initiatives.
  • Lead continuing development and improvement to existing Performance Review process.
  • Develops, Maintains and Track all MHM Training.
  • Will effectively present existing training material over different topics to groups from 20 to 200 employees.
  • Proactively identify development gaps for new and existing leaders while working as a collaborative contact between departments to ensure talent development needs are met.
  • Quality Improvement Process related to accreditation for administration.
  • Assist with leadership development.
  • Assist Senior Leadership Team with annual survey/coaching.

        Policy Implementation

  • Update as needed Policy and Procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:        

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:     

  • Education or equivalent experience: BA in a related field with at least 5 years of retail and human resources or related work experience with 3 of those in a leadership role. Ability to stay composed under pressure.
  • Years of experience: 5+
  • Specialized training required: HR expertise, talent development or direct leadership training experience.
  • License/Certification:
  • Other: Experience in Human Resources and Thrift Operations a plus.
